THE ISLAND OF MAURITIUS (MÔ-RISH’US)…

1,000 miles East of the Island of Madagascar, in the Indian Ocean, lies the tiny African Island Paradise of Mauritius. The islands in this chain, the “Vanilla Islands”, from Madagascar to Mauritius, are in fact the only place on earth where natural vanilla grows! So remote, no humans inhabited Mauritius when Dutch sailors first set foot on its shores. It’s most famous inhabitant, the now fabled Dodo Bird, unfortunately fell victim to this new human presence.

Today, Mauritius, the STARR of Africa, is a melting pot of people, culture, food and trade. Positioned in the Indian Ocean between Africa, India and China, Mauritius is a gateway between and a microcosm of these great continents with Dutch, French and English influences in this dynamic mix. In 2018 the Island of Mauritius celebrated its 50th Year of Independence!

You gather the idea that Mauritius was made first, and then Heaven; and that Heaven was copied after Mauritius.
